Alexei Gusakov, chief engineer of the Volgodonsk branch of Atomtruboprovodmontazh JSC (ATM) reported an increase in production of high and low pressure pipelines for nuclear power plants and oil and gas chemical enterprises from the current 100 tons per month to 250 tons per month.
Thus, by the end of 2019, the enterprise will reach its design capacity announced in December 2018, when the grand opening of the ATM plant took place in Volgodonsk.
“At the start, investment in the project amounted to about 100 million rubles. These funds, in particular, were spent on the repair of the building and premises, the relocation of equipment from the Orenburg and Tver regions, where the production sites of Atomtruboprovodmontazh were previously located. Another approximately 100 million rubles will be invested in the development of the Volgodonsk site in 2019-2020. Now, in particular, a chamber for cleaning products is being built, ”Gusakov said.
He added that the company is working on reducing production costs, expanding its assortment, increasing the supply of pipelines for export (for example, for nuclear power plants in Belarus and India) and more active work with representatives of the oil and gas complex of the Russian Federation. “All this together will allow us to reach the planned targets by the end of 2019 (over 2.8 thousand tons of pipelines per year),” the chief engineer of the Volgodonsk branch of ATM JSC summarized.
The controlling stake in ATM JSC is owned by Atomenergomash JSC, which is part of the Rosatom structure.
