According to statistics released by the stainless steel division of the China Special Steel Enterprises Association (CESSA), China's raw stainless steel production in the first three quarters of this year was about 21.97 million tonnes, down 2.3% than in the same period a year ago.
Including the production of chromium-nickel stainless steel (the so-called series 300) accounted for the largest share, amounting to about 10.77 million tons, which is 0.23% more than a year earlier.
