According to the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), US steel production for the week ending Feb 13, 2021 was 1,743,000 tonnes and capacity utilization was 76.9%. US steel production in the corresponding week of last year was 1,844,000 tons, while the production capacity ratio was 81.5%.
Thus, the current production data showed a decline of 5.5% versus last year and an increase of 2.2% versus the previous week (1,705,000 tons, 75.2%).
