According to the ISSF, in January-March 2021, global stainless steel production increased by 24.7% year on year to 14.5 million tons and by 2.7% by the fourth quarter of 2020 (14.125 million tons).
Production in European countries for the quarter amounted to 1.909 million tons (+ 5.3% to last year), in the USA - 624 thousand tons (-0.4%), in China - 8.198 million tons (+ 36.9% ), in Asia (excluding China and South Korea) - 1.880 million tons (-0.3%) in other countries (Russia, South Korea, Brazil, South Africa, Indonesia) - 1.901 million tons (+ 43.8% ).
