Stainless steel prices in China rose after the holidays

Nickel prices on the LME rose last week to $22,782 a ton. This was the highest level since late September.

Consequently, the price of 304 cold-rolled coils in China rose 100-200 yuan per ton. Taiwanese steel mills raised prices in early October, and deal prices also rose sharply.
