China's steel imports in 2022 will reach 10.57 million tons, down 25.9% year on year, the lowest level since 1993. High inflation and the energy crisis have led to high steel import costs in China.
Among them, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia are the main import sources, with a total import volume of 7.92 million tons, accounting for 75% of China's total imports.
In 2022, China's steel export will reach 67.32 million tons, up 0.9% year on year.
