China's stainless steel import and export growth in the first half of the year

According to Chinese customs data, the total import volume of stainless steel in China in the first half of this year was about 1.11 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 31.43%. The import volume of stainless steel in June was about 131000 tons, a year-on-year increase of about 11%, but a decrease of nearly 25% compared to the same period last month.

In the first half of this year, China's stainless steel exports reached 2.36 million tons, a year-on-year increase of nearly 16%. In June, the export volume of stainless steel was about 453000 tons, a year-on-year increase of nearly 32%, but a month on month decrease of 1%. In summary, China's net export of stainless steel in the first half of the year was 1.26 million tons, an increase of 5% over the previous year.
