According to a public hearing held by the Korea Trade Commission (KTC), South Korea will initiate an anti-dumping investigation into stainless steel imported from China, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
The investigation will be conducted based on the statement of local steel manufacturer POSCO. The investigation will ultimately determine the imposition of anti-dumping duties ranging from 7.17% to 25.82% on flat steel from China, Indonesia, and Taiwan.
At the same time, an investigation will be conducted into the 37.62% dumping rate of cold-rolled stainless steel products from three companies, Vietnam Yongjin Metal Technology, TVL Joint Stock Company, and TVL Steel Production and Construction Joint Stock Company. KTC plans to make a preliminary decision in October.
