WSA: Global Steel Production in July 2024 Decreased by nearly 5% compared to 2023.

According to the World Steel Association (WSA), the crude steel production of 71 producing countries worldwide reached 152.8 million tons in July 2024. Decreased by 4.7% compared to July 2023.

In July 2024, Africa produced 2 million tons. Growth of 4.0% compared to July 2023. The production in Asia and Oceania was 112.7 million tons, a decrease of 6.4%. The EU (27) produced 10.8 million tons, an increase of 5.7%. The production of Europe and other countries was 3.7 million tons, an increase of 0.6%. The production in the Middle East region was 3.7 million tons, a decrease of 10.1%. North American production was 8.8 million tons, a decrease of 2.4%. Russia and other CIS countries+Ukraine produced 7.5 million tons, a decrease of 0.8%. The production in South America was 3.7 million tons, an increase of 6.0%.
