The Eurasian Economic Commission has extended the anti-dumping duties imposed on galvanized steel produced by Chinese and Ukrainian steel companies until September 1, 2025.
The validity period of the applicable measures should expire on January 5, 2025. However, the Internal Market Protection Department of the European Commission received an application and initiated a second anti-dumping investigation on September 2, 2024.
According to the decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission on December 3, 2019, anti-dumping duties will be imposed on galvanized steel from China and Ukraine. Depending on the manufacturer, the tariff for leasing in China ranges from 12.69% to 17% of the customs value, while the tariff for leasing in Ukraine is 23.9% of the customs value. In addition, Decision No. 209 approved price commitments from some Chinese companies.
